Reem & Youhanna - 11/10/19
Ceremony - St. Mary & St. Mina Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church
Reception - Grand Hyatt at Rocky Point
What a gorgeous wedding this was! It was the first time I got to shoot a wedding at the Grand Hyatt Hotel at Rocky Point. It's a beautiful hotel with a tremendous view from the suites and reception hall that is perfect for a wedding with hundreds of guests. We started out the day at the Grand Hyatt capturing the bride getting ready and we were able to get a few shots of the bride before we had to leave for the ceremony. We also got a few shots of the groom who got ready at his house.
The ceremony began at St. Mary & St. Mina. If you have never been to an egyptian coptic orthodox wedding, they are 1.5 hours long which means there is a lot to photograph at these types of weddings. The great thing is this church doesn't mind if photographers go anywhere in the church to get a good shot, even on the altar.
After the ceremony, we went to a Safety Harbor park where we did photographs of the bride and groom during sunset. Sunset is the most important time to capture photos, it's the golden hour and you can get some pretty amazing skies for your background during this time.
Finally the reception began and it was a huge party non-stop from the moment the new bride and groom were introduced to the last dance of the evening. It was a fun day and I was very honored to be apart of it!
